Chairperson BISP visits Swat, raises awareness on digital wallets for beneficiaries

ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Digital Wallet activation is free, while the cash withdrawal service fee is PKR 280. Beneficiaries’ funds remain secure in their Digital Wallets and can be withdrawn at any time from any authorized retailer of the designated partner bank, Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid informed women beneficiaries.
Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the BISP Tehsil Offices in Barikot and Babuzai, Mingora, Swat, today. She was accompanied by Member of the Provincial Assembly, Ms. Mehr Sultana Advocate.
During the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid met with women beneficiaries, listened to their concerns, and directed the relevant officials to ensure their prompt and effective resolution. She also educated the beneficiaries on the safe and proper use of Digital Wallets, emphasized the importance of receiving their full stipend, and cautioned them against any form of unauthorized deductions.
Addressing the beneficiaries, the Chairperson stated that Digital Wallet activation is completely free, while the cash withdrawal service fee is fixed at PKR 280. She clarified that beneficiaries’ funds remain secured in their Digital Wallets, eliminating the need to withdraw the money immediately. Women beneficiaries may collect their payments at their convenience any time from any authorized retailer of the designated partner bank.
Senator Rubina Khalid personally supervised the distribution of free Benazir SIMs to women beneficiaries and provided practical guidance on the importance of the Benazir SIM and the effective use of Digital Wallets. She also reviewed the ongoing SIM distribution process and directed the concerned staff to ensure that it continues with complete transparency, efficiency, and discipline.
The Chairperson instructed BISP officers and field staff to treat all women beneficiaries with dignity, respect, and courtesy, while ensuring the timely, transparent, and dignified delivery of services. She remarked that serving deserving families is not merely an official responsibility but a national duty and an act of worship, adding that serving humanity is a source of immense reward in the sight of Almighty Allah.
