WNAM MONITORING: As part of his visit program, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the Al Salam Palace Museum in Kuwait City.
The palace was built between 1960 and 1964 in a unique Arab architectural style and served as the official residence for visiting foreign leaders until 1990.

In 2019, the palace was transformed into a museum, showcasing collections of unique artifacts that reflect Kuwait’s centuries-old history and culture. The museum spans an area of 32,000 square meters.
The President of Uzbekistan explored the museum’s exhibits, highly appreciating its architectural concept and modern infrastructure.

The importance of expanding cultural exchanges between Uzbekistan and Kuwait was emphasized, particularly in museum management and historical heritage preservation, as well as the implementation of joint humanitarian programs and the organization of mutual exhibitions.
Following the visit, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, left a note in the museum’s Guests of Honor Book.
