ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Pakistan Tourism and Hospitality Investment Summit, Smart Expo, organized by Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry, was held at, The sail Marble Arch Hotel in London. It was grandly inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Former Federal Minister Ramesh Kumar. The conference was attended by a large number of personalities from the fields of medical tourism, education, religious tourism and real estate, investors and business community. The conference started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the Pakistani and British national anthems were also presented. Chairman of Pakistan Association of Exhibition of Industry Fahad Barlas started the formal ceremony.
Dignitaries including former Federal Minister and Member of National Assembly Ramesh Kumar Wankwani, Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Haseeb bin Aziz, current executive member of Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry Anila Khalid and former executive member Amin ur Rahman were also included. Amjad Bashir thanked Chairman British Friends of Pakistan and his team for their special support in administrative matters. The conference was attended by more than 2,000 delegates, including Pakistani community and personalities related to medical, education, religious tourism and real estate from the UK. Haseeb bin Aziz while addressing the event said that Pakistan Tourism and Hospitality Investment Summit and Smart Expo will be an important milestone in Pakistan-UK relations, it is very important to have such conferences between Britain and Pakistan.
This will help in enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries at commercial, diplomatic and business level. Khurshid Barlas in his address to the speakers said that the promotion of trade between Pakistan and Britain is the need of the hour. Pakistan is rich in natural resources. We should take steps to introduce Pakistani products to the world. Former Federal Minister Vice-Chancellor Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said that as the religious tourism sector is developing worldwide. In this regard, measures are being taken in Pakistan as well, and other speakers, including Khalid Mehmood Mirza, Secretary Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, former federal minister and member of the National Assembly Ramesh Kumar Wankwani, Brigadier Ahmed Rizwan Ghamman, Naeem Waraich, Ch. Rauf and business related personalities discussed trade and tourism, education and other topics. In the closing ceremony of the conference, special guests former Federal Minister and Senator Ramesh Kumar Vankwani and Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Haseeb bin Aziz distributed awards on behalf of Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry. Chairman PAEI Fahad Barlas, Founder Khurshid Barlas, Amjad Bashir, Chairman British Friends of Pakistan Amin ur Rahman, Anila Khalid were also present on this occasion.
