Tashkent ( WNAM MONIUTORING): A business delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan visited several industrial enterprises in Bukhara region, Uzbekistan.

During their visit, Pakistani entrepreneurs toured Buxoro Agroklaster DZZ, a company established following a presidential decree dated 16 January 2018, aimed at strengthening Uzbekistan’s food security. The enterprise integrates the entire production cycle—from cattle breeding to advanced milk processing.

To develop its dairy production project, the company invested US$6 million, resulting in the establishment of a modern production complex on a 2.6-hectare site that previously housed an abandoned KamAZ service center in Bukhara. The site had been inactive for 15 years, but as part of the project, two new buildings were constructed.

The existing production facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and machinery from leading Italian and Russian manufacturers in the food processing industry. The installed equipment allows for the daily processing of 60 tons of milk, with production under the Lattico brand.

During their tour, the Pakistani delegation observed the enterprise’s operations and visited a soil analysis laboratory. The laboratory was established to study soil characteristics on agricultural lands and enhance soil fertility. Experts provided detailed explanations about the laboratory’s functions, benefits, and upcoming projects at Buxoro Agroklaster.

The delegation also visited the Bukhara Industrial Development Complex, a specialized industrial park, where they were introduced to the ongoing projects in the area.

Notably, in Kagan District, a 1,000-hectare industrial park is being developed based on cutting-edge international practices. This Bukhara Industrial Development Complex aims to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), establish advanced industrial facilities, manufacture competitive products for both domestic and export markets, and generate new jobs.

The first phase of the project involves an investment of US$300 million, which is expected to boost the regional economy by US$250 million annually, create 2,000 new jobs, generate 250 billion soums in tax revenue and facilitate exports worth US$100 million

According to the master plan, a 3 km road is currently under construction, linking the Bukhara-Karshi highway to the industrial park. As a symbolic gesture of goodwill, Pakistani guests planted trees along the newly constructed road.

Additionally, the delegation was given a detailed briefing on investment incentives and preferential policies offered within the industrial park.
