WNAM REPORT: Prof. Dr. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH, attended the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025, where he engaged with global technology leaders and explored advancements in the telecommunications industry.
During his visit to the Huawei booth, Prof. Dr. Choudhary appreciated the pioneering contributions of Huawei to 5G-A intelligent core network solutions and its role in driving global collaboration. MWC Barcelona 2025 was marked by the launch of 5G-A intelligent core network solutions and the presentation of 83 global showcases across 71 key industrial scenarios.
As a follow-up to a recent cybersecurity event jointly organized by OIC-COMSTECH and Huawei, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) and Huawei.This collaboration aims to enhance cybersecurity framework, strengthen technological capabilities, and drive innovation in the telecommunications sector.
In addition, OIC-COMSTECH and Huawei have been actively collaborating on several programs, including capacity-building initiatives, digital transformation projects, and research partnerships to enhance technological expertise across OIC member states. These efforts underscore both organizations’ commitment to fostering scientific cooperation, innovation, and knowledge-sharing.
