ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT)l Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme , Senator Rubina Khalid, met with the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, to extend her congratulations on his appointment.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the enhancement of facilities for beneficiaries at BISP offices, the registration of eligible individuals, and other key operational matters. Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed BISP’s commitment to facilitating deserving individuals, ensuring that an increasing number of people benefit from the programme
She highlighted that BISP remains dedicated to serving beneficiaries without discrimination, with the number of recipients set to increase from 9.3 million to 10 million. She added that the quarterly cash transfer amount has been raised from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500 to provide greater financial support to vulnerable communities.
During the meeting Chairperson BISP highlighted that the Benazir Hunarmand Program will soon be launched , aimed at empowering individuals through skill development initiatives.
