Islamabad (WNAMREPORT): The Islamabad Industrial Association (IIA) successfully concluded its Elections 2025, with all candidates elected unopposed. The newly elected leadership vowed to work collectively to strengthen the industrial sector and address the challenges faced by the business community.

The election results were announced during a well-attended meeting at a local hotel, chaired by senior industrialist and former IIA President Tariq Sadiq. The gathering saw active participation from prominent industrialists, former presidents, executive committee members, and esteemed members of the association.

Outgoing IIA President Nasir Qureshi presented a comprehensive overview of the initiatives undertaken during his tenure to improve the industrial sector’s performance. He expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue these efforts and pledged his full cooperation to support future initiatives.

During the meeting, Tariq Sadiq announced the new office bearers for the year 2025:

Mian Razzaq – President

Mirza Muhammad Ali – Senior Vice President

Mian Arif – Vice President

These nominations were unanimously approved by the members. Additionally, new executive committee members Mian Arif, Tariq Junaid, Fahad Farid, Arsalan Javed, Umais Khattak, Zahid Chaudhry, and Arif Butt were elected. The continuation of existing executive members Nasir Qureshi, Muhammad Ali, Mahmood Elahi, Noman, Haji Razzaq, Bilal Munir, and Aman Mansoor for the year 2025 was also confirmed.

Outgoing Senior Vice President Mahmood Warraich and Vice President Naeem Paracha extended their gratitude to the members for their cooperation during their tenure.

Mian Akram Farid, former IIA President, raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of Islamabad’s industrial areas and urged industrialists to join hands in addressing these issues. He called upon the federal government and CDA to prioritize solutions for the industrial sector’s pressing challenges.

Atif Ikram, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and senior IIA member, congratulated the newly elected office bearers. He praised the IIA’s consistent efforts in advocating for industrialists’ concerns and assured his full cooperation for future initiatives.

In his address, newly elected IIA President Mian Razzaq thanked the members for their trust and pledged to devote his efforts to resolving industrial challenges. Mirza Muhammad Ali and Mian Arif also expressed their gratitude and commitment to advancing the industrial sector’s growth.

The meeting concluded with the presentation of special shields to the outgoing office bearers in recognition of their valuable contributions. Attendees later enjoyed a grand Iftar dinner, where industrialists and business leaders exchanged ideas on enhancing Islamabad’s industrial landscape.
