ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to establish a network that addresses the demand for skilled manpower nationally and internationally. This network should focus on skill training and provide decent employment opportunities. Given the growing demand for skilled workers in the global market, prioritizing skills development is crucial. To this end, we have launched the Benazir Hunarmand Program, she stated while addressing the occasion.
BISP Chairperson commended the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) for its initiative to provide food items to impoverished individuals during Ramadan. She stressed that supporting the needy is a collective responsibility and urged other organizations and philanthropists to contribute to this noble cause, highlighting the religious duty to support financially vulnerable individuals during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Senator Rubina Khalid also highlighted BISP’s provision of financial assistance to 10 million families across Pakistan. Additionally, the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma Program prioritizes education and healthcare for children from deserving families. Quoting Bibi Shaheed, she said, “Skill is your asset.” A skilled individual, she emphasized, is always employable.
During the ceremony, MD Baitul Mal Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt and Chairman KORT Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar shared their insights, underscoring the need for effective strategies to improve the lives of deserving individuals.
