ISLAMABAD (WNAM REPORT): Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Member of the Central Core Committee of UBG, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of a significant reduction in electricity prices for domestic and industrial consumers is a major economic step that will provide direct relief to both the business community and the general public.
He highlighted the relentless efforts and continuous endeavors of the UBG Group, Group Leader Gohar Ejaz, and Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer behind this achievement. They have consistently raised the issues faced by traders and industrialists and played a crucial role in finding practical solutions in collaboration with the government.
Speaking to a high-level delegation of traders, he stated that, following this decision, the electricity price for domestic consumers has been reduced by 7.41 rupees per unit, bringing the new rate to 34 rupees per unit. Similarly, for industrial consumers, the price has been reduced by 7.59 rupees per unit, lowering it to 39.60 rupees per unit.
This step is a significant advancement toward economic recovery, industrial growth, and public welfare. Not only will it accelerate industrial and commercial activities, but it will also provide relief to the public, marking another positive step toward economic stability in the country.
Ahsan Bakhtawari further emphasized that the leadership of the UBG Group has always represented the business community’s concerns to the government and played a key role in securing this crucial decision.
