ISLAMABAD (WNAM REPORT): Mohammad Waseem Chaudhry, Executive Member of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), along with Yasir Khan, Director of Stonebridge Pakistan, visited the Embassy of Myanmar in Islamabad to extend heartfelt condolences over the tragic earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025 claiming over 3600 precious lives.
During the visit, they met with H.E. Ambassador Wunna Han and expressed deep sorrow and solidarity on behalf of the Pakistani business community. They conveyed their sympathies to the people and government of Myanmar in this time of profound grief.
Both Waseem Chaudhry and Yasir Khan emphasized that natural calamities transcend borders, and such moments call for unity and compassion among nations. They noted that Pakistan has itself experienced the pain of devastating natural disasters and stands firmly with Myanmar in this hour of need.
They also recorded their sentiments in the Embassy’s Condolence Book, reaffirming the spirit of brotherhood and shared humanity.
Ambassador Wunna Han expressed his sincere appreciation for the visit, acknowledging the support and empathy shown by the Pakistani business representatives. He noted that such gestures strengthen bilateral ties and exemplify the importance of international solidarity in times of crisis.
