Jakarta ( WNAM MONITORING ): Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Rini Widyantini stated that women’s leadership is not just a complementary aspect but a main pillar in driving change towards achieving the vision of Golden Generation 2045.
“Woman leadership is a collaborative strength that unites competencies, empathy, and a focus on change,” she said during the gathering of the Indonesian Women’s High Leadership Forum (Ikatan PIMTI Perempuan Indonesia) on Friday (April 11), as quoted from the ministry’s statement here on Saturday.
She explained that in women’s role is emphasized in the 2025-2029 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
She explained that women still face various challenges in pursuing careers as bureaucrats, ranging from low representation in strategic civil apparatus positions.
Women also face cultural and gender biases, as well as perceptions that women are less suitable for leadership, to limited access to the mentoring system and career-supporting policies.
“The dual role of being a civil servant and a homemaker has also not been adequately accommodated in the work environment. All of this requires attention and must be continuously addressed with real policies and practices,” she unveiled.
Various studies have shown that organizations led by women, particularly those with a women’s representation of 30 percent or more in strategic positions, are 12 times more likely to achieve peak performance.
Therefore, Widyantini expressed hope that the Indonesian Women’s High Leadership Forum is not just a space for social networking, but must become a strategic ecosystem in driving collaboration among organizations.
“Let’s nurture this synergy, strengthen our efforts together, and encourage more women to lead and inspire each other. Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045 can only be achieved if we build a bureaucracy that is not only intelligent but also fair and equal,” she said.
