WNAM Monitoring: Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced in an interview to Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper that the next extended session of the Kazakh Government is to take place in near future.
The President reminded that in his September state-of-the-nation address he set the task of transitioning to a new economic model. Doubling of GDP by 2029 has been outlined as a strategic goal.
He added that the extended session of the Government is set to be held in the nearest future where will the results of socioeconomic development would be summed up and the strategy for the future steps in that direction would be mapped out.
The Head of State noted that the sessions of the National Kurultai had become a useful platform where the participants discuss the issues of ideological sphere, formation of a new quality of the nation, renewal of the system of values of the society.
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the sessions of the National Kurultai traditionally take place in summer, however, this year it will more likely be held in spring.
