WNAM MONITORING: Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov proposed at government meeting on Friday organizing a specialized international EXPO on agriculture in Turkmenistan in the coming years.
To implement this initiative, it was suggested to establish a special fund and initiate negotiations with leading international companies, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
The meeting also included discussions on the preparation of a draft document aimed at improving the country’s international exhibition activities.
The discussions focused on Turkmenistan’s participation in upcoming world specialized exhibitions, including Green EXPO 2027 in Japan, dedicated to environmental issues, and EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, centered on the theme of Sport and Music for All.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and instructed officials to continue work in this direction.
The meeting also addressed a number of other state issues, and the government made corresponding decisions.
