Beijing: Beijing Economic Technological Development Area on Wednesday launched an exciting short video contest under the theme “from E-Town to the future.” The campaign showcased a comprehensive media tour featuring key landmarks such as the Goldwind Zero-carbon Smart Park, Nanhaizi Milu Park, and an autonomous driving demonstration zone. These locations highlight the area’s groundbreaking achievements in green farming, wildlife conservation, and autonomous vehicle technology.
The Goldwind Zero-carbon Smart Park, distinguished as China’s inaugural renewable carbon-neutral industrial park, boasts a 3,456 square-meter greenhouse cultivating a variety of produce, including tomatoes, bananas, eggplants, and passion fruit. Meanwhile, Nanhaizi Milu Park, China’s premier nature reserve dedicated to milu deer, has been a stronghold for over three decades in conserving and researching this nationally protected species. Yizhuang’s high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, established in 2020, secured the top spot in China for the competitiveness of urban intelligent connected vehicles.
While the media tour aimed to showcase some of BEIJING E-TOWN’s flagship projects, the contest invites participants to create videos, each lasting no more than five minutes, exploring broader themes. The competition will recognize outstanding entries across four categories: innovation and entrepreneurship, smart manufacturing, culture and customs, and life in BEIJING E-TOWN. Participants are required to base their filming activities within the BEIJING E-TOWN area. Submissions will be accepted until May 6, 2024.
