ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The vibrant celebration of Navruz, symbolizing renewal and unity, was enriched with the inspiring words of Ambassador of Turkmenistan, A. Movlamov, during the impressive art and cultural craft exhibition organized by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Movlamov warmly congratulated Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir of Tajikistan for hosting a magnificent exhibition that beautifully showcased the shared cultural happiness of regional nations. He underlined the importance of Navruz as a symbol of unity and common heritage among countries of Central and South Asia.
In his remarks, Ambassador Movlamov also took the opportunity to highlight an important milestone for his own country — the 30-year history of Turkmenistan’s internationally recognized policy of Neutrality. He proudly noted that Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality has been recognized twice by the United Nations through relevant resolutions, a distinction unprecedented in the realm of global diplomacy and international relations.
“This recognition,” he emphasized, “reflects Turkmenistan’s peacekeeping role and its vital contribution to ensuring regional security, stability, and the peaceful development of international relations.” Ambassador Movlamov also introduced the audience to the Concept of Turkmenistan’s activities and priorities in the context of the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025.
