WNAM MONITORNG: The President of Uzbekistan reviewed the activities of new enterprises within the Urganch Cluster in Khorezm region.
Five years have passed since the cluster was established. Today, it represents a fully integrated vertical system encompassing all stages – from cotton cultivation to producing finished garments. The cluster currently employs 3,000 people.

It processes the entire volume of cotton grown on 8,500 hectares of land. To support this, the cluster includes cotton ginning and oil-fat processing plants.
In recent times, spinning and weaving capacities have been significantly expanded. With the help of additional investments, two more enterprises have been launched, equipped with modern machinery from Germany, Japan, and Türkiye.
A training and practical center has been established within the production facility. It educates future seamstresses and designers, who later work at the cluster’s enterprises.
As a result, production volumes are set to increase significantly: the annual output is expected to reach approximately 10,800 tons of yarn and 3 million units of garment products.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new factories, got familiar with the production process and finished goods, and spoke with the women seamstresses, inquiring about their wages and working conditions.
The majority of the high-quality clothing produced here is intended for export. The enterprise’s annual export potential amounts to approximately $28 million.
Recommendations were given to diversify the product range, improve product quality, increase export volumes, and reduce production costs through enhanced energy efficiency.
