WNAM REPORT: Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Sh. Shiriev made a report at the regional conference “Integration of Central Asian countries against the background of modern global changes: status and prospects”, which took place on May 1 in Dushanbe. This was reported on the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan.
In his speech, which was held via video link, he stressed the importance of strengthening regional cooperation in the context of modern challenges and noted the key role of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia as an effective mechanism for deepening cooperation. The emphasis was also placed on the proactive role of Turkmenistan in promoting peaceful, sustainable and trust-based processes in the region.
The regional conference was attended by heads of analytical centers of the countries of the region, representatives of ministries and departments of Tajikistan, as well as ambassadors and employees of diplomatic missions of the Central Asian countries accredited in Dushanbe.
The forum was organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan jointly with the Regional Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia.
