Egypt appoints new Ambassadors

Ambassador Tarek Dahroug will serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France and Non-Resident Ambassador to Monaco. He will also serve as Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

ISLAMABAD: ( WNAM MONITORING ): Under the decree, Ambassador Tarek Dahroug will become Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France and Non-Resident Ambassador to Monaco. He will also serve as Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

On the other hand, Ambassador Ashraf Sweilem was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Similarly, Ambassador Hamdy Shaaban Abdelhalim was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia.

Abdelhalim will also serve as Non-Resident Ambassador to Turkmenistan and Belarus.

In addition, Ambassador Ihab Awad will be the new Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.

According to the decree, Ambassador Khaled Al-Abyad was named Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jordan, while Ambassador Yasser Shaban was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Oman.

Furthermore, Ambassador Wael Badawi El-Sheikh will serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkey. In contrast, Ambassador Essam El-Din Abdel Hamid Ashour will serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the UAE.

The decree also stipisulated appointing Ambassador Mohamed Jaber Abu Al-Wafa Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait.

Meanwhile, it named Obeida El-Dandarawy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ethiopia and Walid Fahmy Al-Faqi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Qatar.

Moreover, Mohamed Salah Kishta was named Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Somalia, while Hazem Fawzy was named Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Sudan.

Similarly, Ambassador Abdel-Rahman Najm El-Din was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Djibouti.

The decree, which will be published in the Official Gazette, also includes appointing other ambassadors and consuls in countries such as Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Portugal, Colombia, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Chile, Rwanda, Ghana, Nepal, Niger, Malawi, Serbia, Algeria, Namibia, Croatia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Australia, and Burkina Faso.
