WNAM REPORT: In a significant step toward fostering a more inclusive workplace, Zong hosted an impactful awareness session in collaboration with NOWPDP (Network of Organizations Working with People with Disabilities). The session aimed to deepen understanding of the challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and emphasized the importance of empathy, accessibility, and allyship in workplace and organizational culture.
The session featured immersive simulations and open conversations, allowing participants to experience, reflect on, and better understand the lived realities of PwDs; from the physical, social, and emotional barriers they navigate daily to the often invisible challenges that impact their access, participation, and sense of belonging. Employees from across the organization took part in the experience, gaining insights into how inclusive mindsets and small, intentional actions can lead to lasting change.
“At Zong, we believe that true progress comes from recognizing, respecting and actively responding to the diverse experiences of all individuals,” said Andleeb Aslam, the company’s official spokesperson. “This session reinforced our belief that empathy-driven learning is key to building a workplace where everyone can thrive.”
The collaboration with NOWPDP aligns with Zong’s broader sustainability commitment to Inclusive Growth, which prioritizes equitable opportunities, community engagement, and empowerment for all segments of society.
By fostering open dialogue and shared learning, the session underscored Zong’s ongoing commitment to turning inclusion into action. The company remains dedicated to creating an environment where diversity is not only celebrated but actively championed; ensuring that every individual, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully.
