TEHRAN: Officials of national defense universities of Iran and China have underlined the need for enhancing defense diplomacy and academic cooperation.
A Chinese delegation of the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) headed by Tai Jinsong visited the Supreme National Defense University (SNDU) of Iran and held talks with the deputy president of the university Khosro Bolhassani in the capital Tehran.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation became familiar with the activities of the SNDU with regards to education, research, and international student enrollment.
In the meeting, Bolhassani called for the expansion of good collaborations between Iran and China and emphasized the need for upgrading bilateral relations in other sectors such as the academic arena. He further noted that the Iranian university initiated providing foreign students with PhD courses, expressing hope that Chinese students would be enrolled as well.
The head of the Chinese delegation, for his part, pointed to the important role of the Iranian university in the Islamic country’s defense industry, expressing readiness to pave the way for improving academic cooperation between these two universities.
