WNAM REPORT: The first meeting of the Termez Dialogue on connectivity between Central and South Asia is taking place in Uzbekistan.
Particular focus is being placed on strengthening cooperation between Central and South Asia in security, stability, and sustainable development, deepening interregional connectivity, and expanding the role of the private sector and financial institutions in promoting economic growth.
The forum, organized jointly by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has attracted significant international attention.
Nearly 200 representatives of political, economic, and business circles from Central and South Asia, Europe, the CIS, the Asia-Pacific region, the United States, the Middle East, as well as financial institutions, international and regional organizations, and prominent experts from global analytical and research centers have gathered in Termez.
The forum is expected to adopt a Communiqué calling for coordinated efforts to strengthen trust, dialogue, and cooperation between Central and South Asia.
