ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, inaugurated the BISP Dynamic Registration Center in Kaghan to facilitate and support deserving families.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid said that the establishment of this registration center aims to provide needy families with quick and accessible survey facilities within their own area, enabling a greater number of households to register with BISP. She added that the journey from Kaghan to Balakot is not only lengthy but also involves difficult mountainous routes. In this context, the new center will bring registration and other facilities to the doorsteps of women and elderly people in the region. She emphasized that this initiative reflects BISP’s vision that “No deserving family should be left behind.”
Upon her arrival in Kaghan, young girls presented the BISP Chairperson with a bouquet of flowers, giving her a warm and heartfelt welcome. Local women also received her with enthusiasm, offering prayers and extending their good wishes.
During the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid also held a Khuli Kacheri, where she directly heard the concerns of women, responded to their questions, and provided detailed information about key BISP programs, including Benazir Kafalat, Benazir Nashonuma, and Benazir Taleemi Wazaif. She also offered guidance on important matters such as the survey registration process, lodging complaints about unauthorized deductions, the 8171 helpline, and biometric verification. She stated:
“The purpose of my visit is to listen directly to the problems of women and to take practical steps for their immediate resolution.”
Later, the Chairperson personally supervised the registration of women at the Dynamic Registration Center. She instructed the staff to treat poor and elderly women with respect and dignity so that they may complete their registration process with ease and self-respect.
