WNAM REPORT: The National Day of Uzbekistan was held in the Japanese city of Osaka as part of the Expo 2025. This has been reported by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Fujii Hisayuki and Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Head of Uzbekistan’s delegation, Gayane Umerova, attended the opening ceremony.
“The guests were presented with a concert program featuring Fergana, Bukhara Lazgi, and other dances. The atmosphere of the holiday was created by the sounds of karnays and surnays, vocal ensembles, and instrumental groups”, the Foundation reports.
The stage was graced by performances from Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Nodira Pirmatova, and the Bahor State Dance Ensemble named after Mukarram Turgunbayeva, which presented a rich repertoire of Uzbek choreography.
The highlight of the celebration was a colorful procession through the exhibition grounds. Dozens of artists, musicians, and dancers took part, turning the parade into a true cultural extravaganza.
The National Day of Uzbekistan left a vivid impression on the guests of Expo 2025, emphasizing the importance of the country’s participation in the global cultural dialogue and its desire to represent its heritage in the international arena actively.
