ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan recently hosted a grand ceremony to commemorate the country’s 80th National Day. The event brought together 500 esteemed guests, including government officials, diplomats, scholars, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Vietnamese community in Pakistan.
In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan, Pham Anh Tuan, highlighted Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in nation-building and development since gaining independence in 1945. He emphasized Vietnam’s ambitious goals of becoming a developed country with modern industry and underscored the importance of partnerships in achieving this vision.
Ambassador Pham expressed confidence that Vietnam and Pakistan will continue to strengthen their enduring and dynamic partnership, working together towards a shared future of peace, innovation, and prosperity. Pakistan’s State Minister for Finance, Bilal Azhar Kayani, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and echoed the Ambassador’s sentiments, highlighting the strong relations between Pakistan and Vietnam.
The ceremony featured a documentary showcasing Vietnam’s milestones and achievements over the past 80 years, as well as captivating cultural performances, including an elegant ao dai show and traditional dance performances. Guests also enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine and participated in a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the occasion with warmth and camaraderie. The event was a testament to the strong bond between Vietnam and Pakistan and their shared aspirations for a brighter future.
