WNAM REPORT: The “2025 China – Central Asia – Uzbekistan” trade exhibition is currently taking place at the International Exhibition Center in Tashkent. Organized at the initiative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the exhibition aims to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and to deepen their strategic partnership.
At the official opening ceremony, participants included Shujing Zhang, Deputy Director of Overseas Exhibitions Division at Exhibition Department CCPIT, Alisher Shaikhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Liu Yan, First Secretary of the Embassy of China in Uzbekistan, Otabek Rozikov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Exporters Association, and Muhammad Usmonov, Deputy Director General of the Uzbekistan Automobile Trade Association.
Nearly 200 leading Chinese companies are participating in the exhibition, presenting their products and services. Among them are demonstrations of smart manufacturing, high-precision display technologies, next-generation electric vehicles, and related spare parts.
As part of the event, special sections have been set up across 4,800 square meters, covering areas such as eco-friendly construction materials, green energy, and digital trade. The National Image Pavilion showcases the modern industrial achievements and advanced technological solutions of Chinese companies.
As part of the exhibition, the China-Uzbekistan Trade and Investment Forum was also held. The event brought together government officials, business representatives, and chambers of commerce from both countries for direct dialogue. During the brand demand and supply session, nearly 100 purchasing needs were announced, contributing to the development of long-term bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
The exhibition also serves to embody the spirit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and to practically reinforce the agreements reached at the China – Central Asia Summit. In doing so, it provides further impetus for the expansion of China’s economic ties with Uzbekistan and other countries in the region.
This event not only creates opportunities for Chinese companies to expand into the Central Asian market but also supports the ongoing modernization processes in Uzbekistan’s industry. In doing so, it enhances trade-related infrastructure and lays the groundwork for new cooperation projects in strategic areas, such as the digital economy and green energy.
As part of the exhibition, presentations, business meetings, and dialogues are being organized across various sectors.
