Iran, Saudi health ministers discuss bilateral cooperation

WNAM REPORT: Iran’s Minister of Health Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi met with his Saudi counterpart, Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, on the sidelines of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean meeting in Cairo, Egypt.

During the meeting, Zafarghandi emphasized the need to finalize the memorandum of understanding on health cooperation and strengthen scientific, educational, and medical collaboration between the two countries. He noted that such cooperation would contribute to enhancing health standards not only in Iran and Saudi Arabia but also across the region.

For his part, the Saudi Health Minister extended a special invitation to Iran and its private pharmaceutical sector to participate in the Global Health Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025.

The Global Health Exhibition is Saudi Arabia’s largest platform for healthcare trade and innovation, bringing together international stakeholders to explore new opportunities in the health sector.
