ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT0): Islamabad Estate Agents Association’s Coordinator and Chairman Youth Committee ICCI, Engineer Usman Nawaz Basra, has said that the real estate sector is an industry that directly keeps hundreds of associated sectors active. It generates economic activities worth trillions of rupees annually and provides employment to millions of people. He stated that their demand is for the government to introduce a more simplified and investor-friendly policy framework for the real estate sector.
He added that the real estate sector holds the status of the backbone of the national economy. The revival and progress of housing and construction projects lead to increased demand for steel, cement, tiles, electrical goods, paint, and various other industries, which ultimately improves the overall economic pace. He emphasized that the housing sector should be given further incentives and a clear roadmap should be established for the real estate market so that economic activity in the country expands and the wheel of development moves forward with greater speed.
