ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): President of Tourism for Interfaith Peace & Development and President of Lake Shore Club, Syed Sadat Hussain Shah, has said that immediate reforms are indispensable to resolve the challenges faced by Pakistan’s tourism industry. He emphasized that the government must urgently review the tourism policy, improve infrastructure, repair and construct roads, enhance security at tourist destinations, and adopt a comprehensive strategy to project Pakistan’s positive image at the international level.

He said that despite having a rich landscape, culture, and heritage, Pakistan has been unable to secure a significant place on the global tourism map due to the lack of marketing and branding. He added that the country holds immense potential for tourism, yet ineffective policy-making and insufficient practical steps have prevented the sector from progressing according to its true capacity. He further stated that if the government introduces serious reforms, Pakistan’s tourism industry could not only strengthen the national economy but also create employment opportunities for millions of people.
