ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Vice President and Spokesman of Federation of Realtors Pakistan Rana Akram, has said that the government policies are severely affecting the construction industry, housing projects and the overall pace of the real estate sector. He stated that the increase in tax rates on property transactions, possible changes in FBR valuation rates and the rapid push toward a documented economy have created greater uncertainty in the market.
He added that the lack of government initiatives such as incentives for real estate development, affordable housing and the construction industry is not only slowing down ongoing projects but also raising concerns about declining employment opportunities. He emphasized that clear, stable, and business friendly policies must be introduced for the construction sector.
