Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING ): A presidential decree has been adopted establishing the “International Center for Digital Technologies.”
According to the document, the Center’s main objectives are to attract investment in the information technology sector, create a competitive and internationally attractive ecosystem, and stimulate the activities of leading local companies in digital solutions and innovation, including the training of qualified personnel.
As part of the decree’s implementation, the International Center for Digital Technologies, Enterprise Uzbekistan, has been established.
Within its territory, activities will include software development, consulting and outstaffing services in the digital technology sector, provision of remote services based on outsourcing, including business process outsourcing (BPO), video game development, and creation of digital content for games — encompassing graphic, video, and audio content with subsequent editing — as well as the development and advancement of artificial intelligence technologies.
The Center will operate as a designated area with a special legal regime based on the general principles and norms of the law of England and Wales, or according to the standards of leading international financial centers.
