Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan Presidents to Visit Pakistan Next Week

ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will pay separate official visits to Pakistan next week, which are being seen as an important development for strengthening diplomatic, economic, and regional cooperation. These high-level visits reflect Pakistan’s growing engagement with Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan’s President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Pakistan on February 3 and 4 during which bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest, regional issues, and economic cooperation will be discussed. An important memorandum of understanding (MoU) on railway cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan is expected to be signed during the visit.

Whereas Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make an official visit to Pakistan on February 5 and 6 to hold high-level meetings with Pakistani leadership. The visit is considered important for further strengthening relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Discussions are expected to focus on trade, investment, education, energy, and other areas of mutual cooperation.
