During the meeting, Managing Director OPF Mr. Mohammed Afzaal Bhatti held comprehensive discussions with the delegation, emphasizing the strategic importance of strengthening educational and workforce cooperation between Pakistan and Japan. He highlighted OPF’s forward-looking plan to introduce structured Japanese language programs within OPF institutions and to extend these facilities to the general public, particularly individuals aspiring to seek employment opportunities in Japan. He further proposed the launch of a dedicated Summer Language Program aimed at equipping students and prospective workers with internationally recognized linguistic skills.

Mr. Bhatti also underscored the importance of initiating demand-driven technical and vocational training programs in sectors experiencing workforce shortages in Japan. He proposed the effective utilization of OPF infrastructure to conduct basic skills development, orientation, and preparatory training courses in line with Japanese market requirements. The Managing Director reaffirmed OPF’s commitment to facilitating structured and sustainable pathways for skilled migration, ensuring that Pakistani youth are professionally trained, language proficient, and well-prepared to compete in international job markets.

The Japanese delegation appreciated the proactive and visionary approach of OPF leadership and expressed keen interest in fostering long-term institutional collaboration. Discussions also included the potential establishment of a student exchange program under which OPF students would have opportunities to participate in academic and cultural exchange visits to Japan, particularly in institutions specializing in arts and creative disciplines. Both sides mutually agreed to continue engagement and finalize a structured action plan to translate these discussions into tangible initiatives, thereby creating enhanced educational and employment opportunities for Pakistani students and workforce.
