WNAM REPORT: Dushanbe hosted the 13th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Cooperation.
Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov attended the event.
Issues related to the further expansion of cooperation in trade, investment, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, customs regulations, education, and culture were discussed at the meeting.
The parties noted that, as a result of the consistent policies of the two heads of state, relations across all areas are developing rapidly. By the end of 2025, the mutual trade turnover in value terms reached $718.3 million. This is 22.5 percent higher than in 2024. The parties have set a specific strategic goal to reach $2 billion in mutual trade.
