WNAM MONITORING: At the beginning of 2026, Uzbekistan recorded a significant tourism milestone: in January, about a million foreign tourists visited the country.
This figure indicates not only a positive trend in the sector but also an increased appeal of Uzbekistan to the international tourism industry.
According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this is almost 40 percent more than the same period in 2025.
282,798 tourists visited Uzbekistan from Kyrgyzstan, 244,373 from Tajikistan, 207,858 from Kazakhstan, 69,070 from Russia, 43,572 from Afghanistan, 28,150 from Turkmenistan, 25,666 from China, 12,740 from Türkiye, 6,095 from India, and 3,237 from Korea.
