WNAM MONITORING: Air India has suspended all flights to Israel for one week starting March 1, citing security concerns amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran, Israeli media reported Friday.

The report appeared on Channel 12, noting that the suspension will last one week and flight operations will resume only after a security assessment.

The move comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel on Feb. 25, during which he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

Western countries have urged their citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Israel and Iran due to regional tensions and the possibility of a US military intervention against Iran.

China also warned its citizens to leave Iran, citing increased external security risks amid threats of a US attack.
