ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ):The Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) on Monday announced that it has reduced its fuel usage by 25 percent in liters with immediate effect amid worsening energy crisis linked to the ongoing conflict in the region.

To meet the desired results, the usage of fuel has been reduced by 25 percent in liters across the country including Head Office. For this purpose, all controlling officers have been advised to ensure fuel conservation as per their business requirements and play a vital role to support the current situation of the country.

Management of ZTBL believes that small, collective changes in our daily habits can lead to substantial fuel savings.

“As per the current economic landscape, our country is facing significant energy crises which may lead to fuel deficiency. While pursuing national interest, ZTBL ensures resilience and operational stability by introducing sustainable measures, immediately,” a statement issued said.

ZTBL employees particularly field functionaries have been advised to use the routes that are fuel-efficient and encourage ‘trip-pooling’ instead of individual visits.

The management has informed its staff country-wide to avoid unnecessary physical visits and adopt smart alternatives including video conferencing and telephonic conversations.

“Extra ordinary situations need extra ordinary steps and measurement, I am sure we can save enough fuel without compromising on our day to day activities and performance in the broader national interest,” Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, President/CEO ZTBL told the executive assembly of the bank.
