MOSCOW: The number of fatalities following the Ukrainian strike on Lisichansk has climbed to 28 people.
“Operatives from the Russian Emergencies Ministry have rescued 10 people. Unfortunately, 28 people, including one child, died,” it said in a statement.
The agency noted that the search-and-rescue operation at the collapsed bakery in Lisichansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) was underway. “About 65% of destroyed construction elements have been pulled out,” the press service added.
Ukrainian troops delivered a strike on a bakery in Lisichansk on Saturday afternoon. Work on removing the rubble continued overnight.
