WNAM MONITORING: Iran warned Gulf countries against allowing their territory to be used for attacks on the country, saying such actions could have serious consequences for regional oil production.
A message from , commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), warned: “If their territory is used against Iran, they must say goodbye to oil production in the Middle East,” according to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and reflect Iran’s warning to neighboring states over potential involvement in any escalation.
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday extended the ceasefire with Iran to allow time for Tehran to prepare a “unified proposal,” following a request by Pakistani officials.
Hostilities in the region escalated after the United States and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran on Feb. 28. In response, Tehran carried out retaliatory strikes on Israel and other regional countries hosting US assets.
