Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT): The Embassy of Korea is set to transform the capital into a hub of Korean culture with its upcoming K-Wave Festa, happening this Saturday, May 2, at the SBC Lawn of Serena Hotel.

Running from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the event promises a lively, immersive celebration of Korea’s global cultural influence. Scheduled originally for April 11, the event was postponed as Islamabad hosted the first round of US-Iran peace talks that day.

The festival’s centerpiece, “All About Korea,” will feature a diverse range of interactive booths hosted by prominent organizations and companies, including SamsungLotte KolsonKOICAKOPIA, and HRD Korea.

Visitors can explore Korea’s technological advancements, development initiatives, and cultural exports in an engaging, hands-on environment.

A major highlight will be the cultural experiences led by the King Sejong Institute, offering introductory Korean language lessons, traditional Najeon craft-making sessions, and the opportunity to try on hanbok, Korea’s iconic traditional attire.

The growing global popularity of Korean pop culture, often referred to as Hallyu, will take center stage through fan club activities promoting K-pop and Korean tourism.

Earlier in the day, an exclusive K-Beauty Master Class will run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, including K-idol-inspired makeup styling. This event is exclusive to celebrities while other activities are open to public and are free.

The last event of the day has been designed to touch the hearts of all K-pop lovers. Running from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it ill feature vocal and dance performances by competing teams, and a special stage by a previous competition winner.

The opening ceremony will showcase a performance by Faryal Amber, adding local star power to the international celebration.

With free entry, no registration requirements, and a full lineup of cultural, musical, and interactive experiences, K-Wave Festa is expected to draw large crowds and boost cultural ties between Korea and Pakistan.
