WNAM REPORT: The international forum GSMA M360 Eurasia 2026 will be held on May 20-21 in Samarkand and will bring together representatives from government institutions, telecommunications industry leaders, and technology innovators from Eurasian countries and other regions.

Participants will discuss key areas shaping the new wave of digital growth, including artificial intelligence, communications infrastructure development, and digital transformation.

The event program, which includes plenary speeches, thematic sessions, and networking opportunities, reflects the opportunities and challenges facing one of the world’s most dynamic innovation hubs: from developing AI-oriented government institutions and sovereign digital infrastructure to expanding mobile coverage through satellite technologies and protecting networks against growing cyber threats.

The forum is being held in Uzbekistan for the second consecutive year and is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Beeline Uzbekistan, and VEON Group, with support from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC).

Confirmed speakers include representatives from international companies and specialized organizations, such as Huawei, Google, ZTE, Jazz, Opensignal, and other players in the mobile ecosystem, as well as heads of government agencies.

As part of M360 Eurasia 2026, the semifinal of a regional hackathon organized by the ITU and dedicated to green and digital innovation in Central Asia will also be held. The competition will take place on May 21, when innovators from across the region will present technological solutions to environmental challenges in areas such as renewable energy, smart water supply, waste reduction, and environmental monitoring. The winning teams will advance to the final, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan.

As Chief Regulatory Officer for the GSMA, John Giusti noted that Eurasia remains one of the world’s most dynamic digital hubs, and that the M360 platform helps strengthen cooperation, attract investment, and accelerate the region’s digital development.
