WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov has instructed to keep the issues of preparing the areas allocated for cotton in the center of constant attention during a working video meeting with the heads of regions and Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex.
As noted, currently in the regions, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, work continues on caring for wheat, leveling and grading land for sowing cotton. Preparations are underway for agricultural machinery and units that will be used in the upcoming season, as well as high-quality seeds for cotton growers.
Along with this, the necessary measures are being taken to plant potatoes, onions, and other vegetable and melon crops within the agrotechnical terms. For the organized conduct of the spring planting campaign, land and seedlings are being prepared.
“The President of Turkmenistan focused on the current important agricultural season and noted that its organized implementation is one of the main conditions for obtaining rich harvests. In this regard, the head of state instructed to keep in the center of constant attention the issues of preparing for sowing areas allocated for cotton, as well as agricultural machinery and equipment, providing cotton growers with high-quality seed material, compliance with agrotechnical standards when caring for wheat, planting potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops within agrotechnical terms , as well as organized spring tree planting,” comments the source.
The heads of regional administrations were also instructed to carry out current agricultural work in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology and proper preparation for sowing.
