WNAM MONITORNG: The annual International Opera and Ballet Festival organized by Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation has kicked off in Tashkent.
It was opened by the ballet performance “Lazgi. The Dance of Soul and Love” on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater. The fantastic choreography of Raimondo Rebecca, the incredible combination of light, music, and the brilliant performance of ballet dancers make an indelible impression on the audience every time. The performance has already managed to win the sympathy and love of both domestic and foreign audiences.
The audience will enjoy famous performances from different countries prepared by the most important schools, troupes, and choreographers as part of the International Opera and Ballet Festival. The festival program consists of performances combining classics and modernity, new interpretations of cult plots, and innovative approaches in drama and scenographies. Boris Eifman’s “Russian Hamlet”, ballet performances “Like Breathing” by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti, “Gabrielle Chanel” by Yuri Posokhov, the play “Chotto Desh” by Akram Khan, and the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Vyacheslav Samodurov will be presented on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater. The audience will also enjoy Offenbach’s opera “The Tales of Hoffmann”, staged by Stefano Poda.
The festival is held on the initiative of the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
