WNAM MONITORING: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized in his address at the third Antalya Diplomatic Forum that no matter how complex and prolonged conflict situations may be, they can be resolved through peaceful methods and negotiations.
“The status of neutrality entails non-alignment with blocs, the non-use of military force, and non-participation in conflicts. The more countries adhere to these principles, the more advocates there are for such an approach, the less likely conflicts are to arise,” underscored Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his speech.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, stated that neutrality can become a positional platform for healthy and responsible forces, individual countries, or alliances of states, allowing for the resolution of conflict situations.
During the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2023, Turkmenistan proposed an initiative for the creation of a Global Security Strategy under the auspices of the United Nations, noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Within the diplomatic forum, it was emphasized that to strengthen global security, Turkmenistan sees the need to intensify efforts through regional organizations and intergovernmental associations, encompassing political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
“Nevertheless, in the endeavor to strengthen global security, Turkmenistan deems it expedient to enhance efforts through regional organizations and intergovernmental associations. The utilization of neutrality and preventive diplomacy are the primary tools for addressing these challenges,” stated the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
