Tashkent: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov is on a visit to Pakistan.
As part of the visit, he met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. During the meeting, Bakhtiyor Saidov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties discussed prospects for deepening relations between the two countries, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation at the bilateral and regional levels, including cooperation within international organizations.
Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed his readiness to further develop comprehensive cooperation with Pakistan, including expanding economic, investment, interparliamentary and cultural ties, as well as strengthening public diplomacy.
In addition, the head of the foreign ministry of Uzbekistan met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The parties discussed issues of intensifying political and economic dialogue, as well as expanding cooperation in various fields.
Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized that this visit is of particular importance, as it takes place on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. “We also planted a tree as a symbol of our desire to further strengthen friendship and partnership between our countries and peoples,” noted the head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.
