WNAM Monitoring: A new Boeing 777-300 ER passenger airliner landed at Ashgabat International Airport. This is the first of two modern aircraft of this modification, for the purchase of which a contract was concluded with the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing in accordance with the relevant Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, TDH reports.

The Boeing 777-300 ER is a wide-body passenger aircraft that can carry up to 368 passengers. It has a flight range of up to 11,390 kilometers and a cruising speed of 905 kilometers per hour.

The new aircraft is equipped with modern navigation and electronic equipment, and also has special seats for the mother and a cradle for the newborn baby.

The technical characteristics of the new airliners provide the ability to carry out non-stop flights from Turkmenistan to almost any point in Asia and Europe.

In recent years, Turkmenistan has been paying great attention to the development of the transport industry. The country is building new airports, modernizing existing infrastructure, and purchasing new aviation equipment.

As is known, in accordance with the relevant Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, two Airbus A330-200P2F cargo aircraft arrived in the country in 2023, which effectively transport cargo in various directions.

In recent years, the volumes have increased and the quality of passenger and cargo transportation has improved. The economic indicators of air travel have increased. Over the ten months of this year, the growth rate in the provision of services through the Türkmenhowaýollary agency amounted to 209.2%.

The interest of foreign carriers in using the airspace of Turkmenistan for transit flights and refueling aircraft has increased significantly. The intensity of air traffic is also constantly growing, as foreign airlines prefer shorter routes between Europe and Asia, equipped with the latest control and navigation technology.
