WNAM MONITORING: If three and a half million tourists visited Bukhara region in 2022, then in 2025, it is planned to increase this figure to ten million. This, in turn, will contribute to the expansion of the region’s economic potential and the emergence of new jobs.

Therefore, during the trip to Bukhara region, the Head of state gave several instructions to create conditions for pilgrimage tourism, further improving the quality and volume of tourist services.

In recent years, the region’s tourism potential has increased several times. 829 cultural heritage sites have been restored, while 184 hotels have been launched, which can accommodate about 10 thousand guests. The foundation of a new infrastructure for transport logistics has been laid, and additional directions have appeared. Today, based on the instructions of the President from August 10-11, the scope of work in this direction has been expanded. Special attention is paid to the development of pilgrimage, gastronomic, extreme, medical, and desert tourism.

Using the example of a recreation area for tourists located in the foothills of Burontepa village in Romitan district, one can ensure that the monument of antiquity located on the Varakhsha massif has opened a new page in tourism development. It is noteworthy that now guests can explore this landmark and other historical sites from a helicopter.

We are considering placing a helicopter in Bukhara Desert Oasis & Spa Complex of Bukhara region, – says Sardor Normuhammedov, Head of Uzbekistan Helicopters LLC. – The implemented measures will further increase the tourist flow and allow you to create a perfect product that meets international standards.

As in ancient times, work has also begun on turning the Burontepa monument into a tourist crossroads. It would not be an exaggeration to say that establishing helicopter flights from the area that flourished in the X-XI centuries to Khorezm and Samarkand will become another important innovation.

The President of our country has instructed to accelerate the work on the development of tourism and the creation of new complexes, – says Romitan district Hokim Umedjon Barnoyev. – Tourists are putting forward ideas for introducing new projects that will allow them to stay for three or four days instead of one. Our plans regarding helicopters, airplanes, parachutes, and extreme tourism have found support.

As the Head of state notes, such initiatives will create new jobs in the service sector and expand the scale of exports. This will become the basis for the start of the activities of other business entities.
