WNAM MONITORING: In accordance with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s decrees, on the occasion of the thirty-third anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s independence, representatives of various fields were awarded honorary titles, orders, and medals. The awards ceremony took place on August 30 at the Kuksaroy Residence.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated everyone on Independence Day and those who gathered on high state awards. He emphasized the significance of the country’s results and noted the importance of the efforts that led to this success.

“What are we working for? First of all, we want the happiness of our children so that our people live in peace, freedom, and prosperity. We have started a movement in the name of human honor and dignity. Who is implementing these initiatives and ambitious goals at the local level? People like you – selfless, patriotic, strong people! You are heroes, an example for our youth. I am proud of you, and thank you on behalf of our people”, the President said.

These efforts are bearing fruit: the appearance of cities, villages, and all spheres and industries is changing dramatically. Large-scale work is being carried out in the economy, construction, education, healthcare, and social protection. People see the results of these transformations in their daily lives.

The world recognizes that Uzbekistan has embarked on the path of progress. Several United Nations resolutions were adopted at Uzbekistan’s initiative. Initiatives put forward at significant political and economic forums have received broad support from the international community.

Beneficial agreements in trade, economic, tourism, investment, and cultural and humanitarian spheres have been signed with countries near and far abroad. Prestigious international conferences have been held in Uzbekistan. Art and cultural festivals, as well as the historic victory at the Olympic Games, have received wide recognition.

Thus, we have entered the world arena as a creative and generous nation. The Head of state emphasized that all this is an achievement of our people.

“I consider every hardworking and selfless compatriot my closest friend and loyal comrade”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted. “Today, our Motherland especially needs people who feel their involvement in the fate of the country and the people, who can inspire others, especially the youth, to instill faith in tomorrow and unite society. The trust of the people, unity, and harmony play a decisive role in achieving our goals”.

The current situation in the world and the difficulties of finding comprehensive solutions in the context of a rapidly changing reality were discussed at the meeting. Growing global competition and the struggle for the future pose new challenges for countries and peoples. Only a nation prepared for these challenges can raise its state to a worthy place.

What place will Uzbekistan take in today’s increasingly uncertain world? Are we making life easier for our country and people with our work and attitude to the changes? These questions should concern us all.

Independence gave us accurate self-awareness and returned honor, dignity, and pride. However, independence is, first of all, responsibility: responsibility for self-determination, for the creation of a prosperous and free Motherland.

Today’s achievements are not the limit for us. Our people deserve a better life and are capable of great deeds. Confidence was expressed: if we all unite, work together, honestly fulfill our duties, and actively participate in reforms, we will achieve our goals.

The President also congratulated compatriots receiving awards in the regions.

“What does an award mean? First, it is a high recognition of a person’s merits. When a person’s work is respected and recognized by the state and society, it brings joy to him, his family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire country. Our task is to appreciate those who work honestly and fruitfully”, the Head of state emphasized.

After this, a solemn ceremony of presenting honorary titles, orders, and medals took place.

“A hardworking person always receives a well-deserved assessment. Today, we honor honest work, dedication, and patriotism. Let these high titles and awards inspire you to new achievements. The more such people there are in our country, the more desire I have to reward them”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The awardees expressed gratitude for the attention and wished success to all citizens of the country.
