WNAM REPORT: The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N. Ismailov met with members of the delegation led by a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Party Secretary of Tianjin, Chen Min’er.
At the meeting, the delegation members were informed about the implementation of the renewed Constitution and the main activities of the Legislative Chamber.
In turn, Chen Min’er stressed that Uzbekistan and China are strategic partners and that cooperation between the two countries is based on mutual friendship, brotherhood, and good neighborliness. He highly appreciated the large-scale reforms implemented under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all areas, yielding significant results. The guest also stressed that further development of relations between the regions is beneficial in all respects.
It was noted at the meeting that thanks to the effective dialogue between the two countries’ leaders, Uzbekistan-China cooperation was raised to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership. During the talks held by the heads of state in Beijing in January this year and in Astana in July, new directions in developing bilateral relations were identified.
On the same day, members of the Chinese delegation met with the heads of political party factions in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
As Chen Min’er noted, relations between the two countries’ governments, parliaments, and regions are developing rapidly.
The guest also stressed that the Chinese Communist Party has established close ties with more than 170 political parties from over 130 countries, including five political parties in Uzbekistan, and is interested in further improving interaction.Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify the partnership between CPC and political parties in Uzbekistan.
