This provision is included in the draft law on the ratification of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, and the Paris Agreement on the Twenty-Ninth Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 19th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, the 6th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement and the Sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies”, which is on the agenda of the plenary session of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) to be held on October 8.
The temporarily determined amount of such expenses is $5,811,800, which includes, but is not limited to, actual additional costs associated with travel and labor rights of the secretariat and other United Nations officials designated to plan, service, or attend the conference, including preparatory technical missions required to plan the conference, even those carried out before the conclusion of this Agreement, as well as costs for information and cybersecurity and web broadcasting services.
