AIOU to Award Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals to Outstanding Students

WNAM REPORT: The annual convocation of Allama Iqbal Open University’s Islamabad Chapter will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2025 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad.
The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will be the chief guest of the ceremony and will award degrees and certificates to the graduating students.
The event will be attended by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, four Deans,Pprofessors, Principal Officers, parents, education experts and representatives from the Higher Education Commission and the Ministry of Education along with a large number of students.
On this occasion, students who have shown outstanding academic performance will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals. This will be the first time the University will present Silver and Bronze Medals in addition to Gold Medals, in order to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of more students.
According to Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood “A convocation is not merely a ceremony for the distribution of degrees; it is a celebration of students’ academic and practical achievements that illuminate their future paths.”
The University Administration stated that special arrangements have been made to make this year’s convocation particularly memorable, with excellent security and convenience measures finalized for all participants.
